Job Description

To start with, the position of Global Strategic Sourcing Manager sits in the Global Procurement team. An incredibly diverse team that helps each other learn, grow and develop. Just how we like it! As a Global Strategic Sourcing Manager you will be responsible for a global strategic direction and delivery of best-in-class results in the area of Raw Materials & cross selling food products (Spend under responsibility is up to EUR 200m). For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain of which Market and Category knowledge as well as Sustainability are integral parts of. With this said, we like you to take responsibility for the following tasks:

  • Develop and get alignment around robust Global Category sourcing strategies, lead execution and track benefits realization across and together with JDE functions and regional teams;
  • Build effective relationships engaging with stakeholders across regions, functions and business units that maximize value and drive continuous improvement;
  • Measure and benchmark performance to ensure that JDE has the most competitive edge and value add in the respective categories;
  • Manage suppliers selection process, negotiate & contract key global suppliers and ensure contracts execution;
  • Builds longer term productivity pipelines in the categories to ensure a continuous delivery against Procurement productivity targets like cost, cash & sustainability with all categories;
  • Establish and maintain portfolio of strategic agreements and key supplier relationships to ensure longer-term capacity and material availability against business demand
  • Oversee high level risk management activities (and gain risk management expertise) for respective category areas.
  • Ensure compliance to internal policies & procedures and has a deep understanding of and manage compliance to the Combined Business Model.

Given the nature of the role we feel it's important for you to have at least 6 years of relevant experience as well as a solid understanding of your own added value.
