You’ll be part of our Global R&D team — a collaborative crew that’s all about turning ideas into coffee experiences. In this role, you’ll lead the technical development of coffee packaging that meets consumer needs, follows regulations, and helps us move toward a more sustainable future.
🎯 What You'll Be Doing
- Own packaging specs from idea to launch — testing, validating, improving
- Join cross-functional project teams and provide the technical POV
- Lead packaging trials in our factories (Netherlands + global locations)
- Keep our systems and specs clean, up-to-date, and launch-ready
- Partner closely with suppliers to meet JDE quality + sustainability standards
- Run shelf life tests and drive innovation with new materials
- Work across teams like Marketing, Operations, Procurement — make it happen
- Be a packaging geek and a great team player in a multicultural setting
Qualifications
🧠 What You Bring
- A BSc or engineering/technical degree (bonus if it’s packaging-specific)
- 5+ years’ experience in packaging development (FMCG preferred)
- Fluent in English (extra languages = extra points)
- Obsessed with details, curious about materials, and always asking “what if?”
- Confident presenting your ideas and influencing others
- Comfortable with fast-paced, agile ways of working
- Green Belt certified? Even better.
