Job Description

To start with, the position of Global Procurement Finance Controller sits comfortably in the Global Finance Operations team. An incredibly diverse team that helps each other learn, grow and develop. As a Global Procurement Finance Controller you will be a strategic business partner to JDE’s Procurement teams and drive performance management through financial oversight, risk assessment, and value tracking. For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain. With this said, we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks:

  • Business Partnering: Serve as a trusted finance partner to the Global Procurement function, providing insights and strategic support to drive value and efficiency
  • Performance Management: Track and evaluate the performance of the Global Procurement teams on key financial metrics
  • Forecasting: Review the procurement forecast as part of the Annual Operations Plan (AOP), ensuring accuracy and providing key insights
  • Month-End Closing & Reporting: Oversee the month-end closing process for procurement including the preparation of reports for the monthly reviews
  • Vendor Risk Management: Conduct comprehensive financial risk assessments for new and key existing suppliers

Qualifications

We are looking for a results-driven individual with a strong analytical mindset and a drive for excellence. Someone that holds themselves accountable and doesn’t shy away from responsibility. Given the nature of the role we feel it's important for you to have a certain level of experience in finance business partnering as well as a solid understanding of your own added value. We thrive in diverse teams and look for people that appreciate that as much as we do. We can give you a list of “must haves,” however that’s not how we view your candidacy. We do, of course, take into consideration how much experience you have with financial analysis and reporting but ultimately, we look at the bigger picture. But to give you a bit of guidance as to what we feel is needed in this role, we’ll share our “nice to have” list with you:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to navigate complex data while maintaining a strategic perspective
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in SAP and highly skilled in Office programs, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI
  • Adaptability in a multicultural environment with experience working across diverse teams and regions
  • Ability to perform under pressure, maintaining focus and delivering results in fast-paced situations
