Job Description

The Global Technology Manager for Supply Chain D&A is a key team member in the IT Data & Analytics team and leads the Center of Excellence in Supply Chain for Data solutions within GIS. The CoE departments drive continuous improvement of business processes through technology initiatives. D&A GTMs work as part of a CoE and ensures the creation, execution and value creation for the Data and Analytics projects by working together with the Data Strategy and business leaders on the demand side and D&A Architecture and Infrastructure delivery teams on the supply side.

In an Agile Framework, in close cooperation with IT Strategy  and Planning, IT Operations as well as with the various regional stakeholders, the Global D&A Technology Manager acts as a Product Owner, to identify and translate business needs in the areas of Order-to-Cash and Warehouse & Logistics, into clear requirements for the Technical Development teams. She/he must ensure that the solutions being developed align with business requirements. Furthermore, the Global D&A Technology Manager acts as a template custodian to ensure that business is able to establish a harmonized and standardized way of working in the Data and Analytics domain.

The Global Technology Manager for Supply Chain D&A reports directly to the Supply Chain CoE Manager under the Global IT Director, and also works with the D&A Infrastructure and delivery services manager as a dotted line.

The key goals of the Global Technology Manager Supply Chain are to:

  • Live the company values – simplicity, entrepreneurship, accountability, discipline and solidarity
  • Gain consensus on new data analytics solutions and build coalitions to enable better decision making
  • Ensure smooth delivery of agile data & analytics projects by close collaboration with vendors and internal teams
  • Collaborate with peers in both IT and business areas to drive the adoption of a data analytics services pace, adoption and business value
  • Translate business challenges into data & analytics solutions by designing fit for purpose applications
  • Actively participate in discussions related to establishing a Data Strategy within JDE
  • Bring transformation and innovation forward with diagnostic, prescriptive and predictive services.
  • Ensure seamless alignment of business and IT
  • Ensure IT supports business in daily data needs and prepare IT for business evolutions and needs to embedded analytics with AI
  • Determine the optimal process governance needed in the organization, and manage this decision making and approval process, and its key stakeholders and participants

    For this role as a Global Technology Manager for Supply Chain, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

    • > 10 years of experience in Data & Analytics transformation projects with proven track record of accomplishment in a complex international organization, preferably in a consumer products/services environment
    • Hands-on experience with the design and implementation of data & analytics solutions – with also knowledge of working with Power BI and Azure.
    • Must be well-versed in all aspects of data and technology solutions in the domain of Supply Chain (Order-to-Cash and Warehouse & Distribution)
    • Experience in working within an Agile framework, with global business stakeholders. This includes writing understanding business requirements, translating them into user-stories, and participating in the Agile Process in the role of a Product Owner.
    • Experience working closely with other technology teams like Robotics Process Automation.
    • The successful candidate should have the belief that Data Analytics must serve as a partner to the business in driving the corporate data strategy
    • Thorough understanding of business processes and management systems is required.
    • Experience in lead role for Data Analytics projects building the bridge with business needs and data and technology readiness for large programs.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
