Job Description

JDE UK have recently launched a new route to market for wholesale customers via a strategic distribution partner, Pricecheck, and we’re now looking for a driven and commercially-minded National Account Manager to lead and grow this exciting channel. Reporting to a National Account Controller, you will be fully accountable for all aspects of the distributor performance, owning the relationship with our distribution partner, ensuring strong commercial delivery, joint business planning, and execution of our category strategy.

We are looking for experienced commercial individuals, hungry to drive category and brand growth by leading x-functional teams to develop and execute win:win entrepreneurial plans. The National Account Manager position taking ownership of the full account management cycle and P&L.

*There is also scope for this position to manage our Hard Discounter accounts (Aldi and Lidl) from Jan ’26.

  • Ultimate delivery of customer P&L key metrics; volume, NOS, GP & GP%
  • Manage the national account relationship with our distribution partner to shape and lead a new channel with real impact.
  • Co-design JBP to deliver highly conditional, entrepreneurial plans that unlock growth within the customer base
  • Monitor performance, identify growth opportunities, and address risks.
  • Work closely with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, finance) to deliver seamless execution.
  • Analyse data to provide insights, reporting, and recommendations for growth.
  • Develop the necessary pricing and promotional plan to drive growth – align internally and successfully negotiates externally to drive mutual growth
  • Deliver all aspect of account performance including forecast, financial analysis and course correction where needed
  • Builds broad networks to create cut-through for JDE brands and category
  • Brings the outside in; ensure customer strategy is heard and understood by JDE
  • Negotiation of NPD listings & distribution extensions for existing products
  • Track performance and report regularly on KPIs, including Promotional Evaluation
  • Leveraging internal resource to deliver results effective

Qualifications

  • Proven UK Account Management experience in a retail FMCG brand environment, ideally within wholesale or convenience
  • Financially astute, can interpret and diagnose a P&L and growth opportunities
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and entrepreneurial spirit; ability to demonstrate NOS/GP growth opportunities with support of x-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and relationship building abilities with strong ability to influence; can develop and leverage strong internal and external networks
  • Highly organised, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience of working cross-functionally to deliver multiple objectives 
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work with others to deliver a specific customer strategy
  • Ability to demonstrate growth and a strong ability/restlessness to seek out further growth
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, lack of data and at ease with difficult and demanding customer conversations
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
