As our new Global Application Portfolio Manager, you will play a key role in optimizing and managing our global application landscape to ensure it is cost-effective, fit for purpose, and aligned with our enterprise architecture strategy.
You will act as the bridge between strategic architecture and operational application management, ensuring that every system in our portfolio delivers value to the business and evolves with our changing needs.
In this role, you will:
Maintain an accurate, up-to-date inventory of all business applications globally and locally, including ownership, costs, licensing, and lifecycle details.
Monitor the introduction and usage of new applications to ensure visibility and governance across our landscape, preventing shadow IT.
Identify and drive application optimization and rationalization opportunities in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
Develop and maintain application rationalization roadmaps, balancing architecture direction, business priorities, and cost-benefit analysis.
Support and enable governance processes for application lifecycle management, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards.
Prepare portfolio reports and dashboards (KPIs, cost savings, legacy reduction, tech debt metrics) for IT leadership.
Collaborate closely with enterprise architects, application owners, vendor managers, and operations teams to ensure coordinated decision-making and transparent communication.
We are looking for a strategic, analytical, and collaborative professional with a passion for optimization and technology governance. You take ownership of your work, have strong project management skills, and thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment.
To be successful in this role, you bring:
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration (IT focus) or a related field.
5–10 years of experience in IT roles such as application management, IT project management, business analysis, or solution architecture.
Solid understanding of application lifecycle management, IT governance, and IT operations.
Strong project management and change management experience.
Good understanding of IT cost structures and financial management fundamentals.
Nice to have:
Experience with large, global, and complex IT environments.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and tools.
Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complexity for diverse stakeholders.
