To start with, the position of Global Portfolio Manager Instant Pure sits comfortably in the Global Marketing – Instant Category Team—an incredibly diverse and collaborative team that learns, grows and succeeds together.
As a Global Portfolio Manager Instant Pure, you will shape the long-term strategic direction of one of JDE Peet’s most important global instant coffee segments. You will help define where to play and how to win, accelerating growth through a strong innovation pipeline, category development, and global best-practice deployment. You will also play a pivotal role in aligning cross-functional and cross-market stakeholders behind a clear value creation plan.
For this, we don’t just need you to be a strategic marketing leader—we strongly rely on your ability to influence, collaborate across cultures, mobilize teams, simplify complexity and tell compelling stories that inspire markets to action.
With this said, we’d like you to take responsibility for the following key areas:
What you’ll do:
Shape and co-develop the long-term Value Creation Plan for the Instant Pure category, translated into clear annual operating priorities.
Lead global category development, ensuring countries deploy winning category strategies aligned with global brand direction.
Build and manage a strong innovation roadmap—from idea generation to prioritization to global scalability.
Drive global category management, enabling markets through best-practice sharing, capability building and consistent execution.
Identify opportunities for complexity reduction, pack harmonisation and portfolio optimisation.
Partner with markets to ensure high-quality local execution aligned with global priorities.
Monitor local category performance, competitive environments and strategic compliance.
Define and maintain global pricing architecture and guidelines, in collaboration with Global Sales.
Be accountable for delivering the category’s growth, profitability and strategic targets.
We are looking for a strategic and inspiring category leader with a drive for excellence—someone who owns outcomes, navigates ambiguity with confidence, and acts with a strong sense of accountability. The role requires senior-level marketing acumen, strong cross-functional partnership skills, and the energy to mobilize diverse teams around a shared vision.
While we look at the whole picture when evaluating your candidacy, here’s what we believe helps you succeed in this role:
Nice to have:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing (or related discipline).
12+ years of solid marketing experience, including experience within local markets and the instant coffee category.
Proven experience working with global–regional–local cross-functional teams.
Global exposure with strong cultural sensitivity.
Demonstrated success in global category development and growth delivery across markets.
Strong business acumen and the ability to shape long-term vision and strategy.
Excellent stakeholder management, project leadership and communication skills.
A “can-do” mindset with the agility to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.
