Job Description

As Regional Buyer Packaging Materials – Folding Cartons, you will play a key role within our Procurement organization, contributing to our Journey to World Class. You will be responsible for delivering competitive cost and cash performance while ensuring excellence in service and quality across our EU manufacturing footprint. Acting as a strategic partner to internal stakeholders and suppliers, you will drive value creation, operational excellence, and sustainability within the packaging category. This role requires strong project management capabilities, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, international environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver Cost & Cash targets whilst maintaining quality and service.
  • Ensure Operational Excellence from the Suppliers in day-2-day supply and Project deliver for the 7 JDE Manufacturing unit’s in EU that use this material.
  • Drive Responsible sourcing and Sustainability initiatives for the category with suppliers to meet ESG targets
  • Drive strategy execution and value creation programs, including running and implementation of tenders, new suppliers, materials, specs across all factories
  • Support the development of sourcing strategies and collaborate with the Global Strategic Sourcing Team
  • Create and maintain relationships with key stakeholders on regional, local and factory level
  • Ensure the proper level of escalation on issues between suppliers and the business
  • Know your supplier market and maintain a strong supplier pool
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures and have a deep understanding of and manage compliance with the combined business model.

For this role as Regional Buyer Packaging Materials – Folding Cartons, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • A Bachelor or Master’s degree
  • At least three years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • An excellent track record of delivering complex projects and service improvement activities
  • Successful experience of leading cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work under pressure, high level of stress resistance
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • The ability to thrive with ambiguity and change
