Job Description

As Platform Specialist Green Coffee & Ingredients in the Global R&D Technology Solutions your focus will be the exploration and development of initiatives related to Green coffee & Ingredients.

  • Define the Green Coffee & Ingredients platform roadmaps by liaising with R&D category, manufacturing, procurement and suppliers, understanding the technology and ingredient business needs of the future, pro-actively bringing up new opportunities and identify capability gaps 
  • Lead definition, scoping and alignment of new ingredient solution projects into start development of the technology development process (T4G) 
  • Lead project groups to deliver new green coffee, ingredients and technology functioning as the platform stakeholder for assigned platform projects. 
  • Coach and mentor the program and category teams with expertise & knowledge on green coffee and ingredient use, product development and/or ingredient processing. 
  • Owner of platform best practices ensuring updating by delegation and cross category roll-out 
  • Bring the outside in via effective technology and ingredients scouting, maintaining a network of universities and consultancy companies and visiting conferences.

For this role as a Platform Specialist Green Coffee & Ingredients, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Education in a Food technology, Food science or Engineering food related technical field (e.g., Food science, Biochemistry and/or, Food Chemistry
  • Over 8 years of proven track record with product development & innovation or process technologies in the food industry (R&D and/or Operations) 
  • Interaction and influence at a senior management level and broad business understanding 
  • Excels bringing clarity, driving scientific ideation and affectively emerging technologies on green coffee and ingredients with focus on our full product range.
  • Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, food safety, product/process design and commercialization and sound understanding of HACCP, food safety, legal, environmental and regulatory parameters 
  • Experience in multi disciplinary project teams and project management
