
As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will ensure accurate and timely payroll execution for the Netherlands while contributing to a global HR transformation program. You will play a key role in aligning local payroll processes with global standards and improving systems and ways of working.
This role combines operational excellence with strategic involvement, offering opportunities to take ownership, drive improvements, and collaborate across HR, Finance, and international teams. You will act as a trusted expert on complex payroll topics while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities:
Execute end-to-end payroll processing, including complex calculations and statutory requirements, as well as all related post-payroll activities
Ensure payroll accuracy through reconciliations, reporting, and audit support
Monitor and improve payroll systems and support enhancements or migrations
Act as a subject matter expert for payroll-related queries and stakeholder advice
Ensure compliance with Dutch legislation and internal policies while driving process improvements
Contribute to payroll transformation initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

For this role as a Senior Payroll Specialist, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree (HBO level), preferably in Business Administration or similar
3–5 years of payroll experience, ideally in an international environment
Strong knowledge of Dutch payroll legislation and tax regulations
Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP Workforce &/or Strada ) and strong Excel skills
Experience with system implementations, migrations, or process improvements
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills; fluent in English
