Job Description
As Commercial Finance Manager for GEM, you'll be the financial owner of commercial performance across Retail, Out-of-Home (OOH), and e-commerce channels for the region — sitting at CELT+2 level within the Finance organisation and reporting to the Finance Director Europe. This is not a consolidation or reporting role. You'll be directly accountable for shaping and steering the commercial decisions that determine the region's revenue, margin, and return on investment, integrating planning, forecasting, pricing, trade investment, and customer profitability into a single, fact-based decision framework. Working closely with the Regional Commercial Lead, FP&A, and Cluster Finance Directors, you'll ensure commercial strategies translate into sustainable, profitable growth — balancing topline ambition with margin, cash, and return objectives.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead commercial financial planning and performance outlooks for GEM, driving the financial translation of commercial plans into forecasts and scenarios grounded in forward-looking insight
- Own the integrated financial view of commercial performance across Retail, OOH, and e-commerce channels — monitoring net sales, gross-to-net, margin, mix, trade investment, and profitability by channel, customer, and initiative
- Build and own channel and customer P&Ls, including revenue, trade spend, variable cost, contribution, and return metrics — identifying value leaks and recommending corrective actions to improve profitable growth
- Define and govern regional pricing principles, price-pack architecture, and promotional strategies through rigorous financial analysis incorporating elasticity, competitive dynamics, and margin objectives
- Co-own financial outcomes of key customer negotiations, ensuring agreements deliver target margin, cash, and return thresholds
- Act as the primary financial authority for commercial decisions — challenging assumptions, influencing senior stakeholders, and embedding financial discipline across all commercial processes
- Drive commercial finance capability across the GEM region through coaching, best-practice sharing, and standard methodologies for pricing, trade spend, ROI, and business case development

For this role as Commercial Finance Manager — GEM, we're looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:
- 12+ years of progressive experience across commercial finance, finance business partnering, FP&A, revenue growth management, or related roles — ideally across local, regional, and/or global environments
- Proven track record in pricing, trade spend management, customer profitability, promotional ROI, and commercial performance steering
- Demonstrated experience partnering and influencing senior commercial stakeholders through data-driven insight and clear recommendations
- Experience leading change and introducing more disciplined tools, governance, or analytics into a commercial finance environment
- Prior people management or coaching experience, with the ability to develop talent and raise team capability
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline; professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA are advantageous
