Job Description

Plant Controller (Manufacturing EU) is responsible for all financial aspects of the Manufacturing Unit (MU) and drives the financial reporting, planning and strategy for the MU. The role will be responsible for assessing the financial performance as well as possible risks and investments.

The Plant Controller is the finance business partner to the plant leadership team and part of the plant management team. The role is responsible for the cost planning and control cycle, driving the plant to deliver on its cost and cash targets (AOP/VCP/CBN). He/she takes part in the decision making process in all strategic and financial decisions such as new line investments, new product introductions or sourcing changes. Plant Controller is responsible for the creation and delivery of both the long term value creation plan (VCP) and the annual budget (AOP). High personal development of Leadership Capabilities

The role manages all the financial planning and control activities in the Manufacturing Unit.

Plant Controller is responsible for the management of the manufacturing financial activities. The role ensures the delivery of finance activities, best use of financial resources, supporting decision making and compliance with all relevant regulations, laws and reporting requirements. The Plant Controller also plays a key role in the reporting and integrity of non-financial information, especially related to ESG.

 

Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:

•Responsible for all the financial planning and control activities in the plant and part of the plant leadership team

•Financial business partnering to plant leadership team and be part of the decision making process in the plant via financial analysis and business cases for innovation and other projects

•Ensure correct and timely month-end closing & (management & KPI) reporting routines and reporting by using SAP R/3 and BPC systems

•Pro-actively provide financial analysis of analyses of profit, costs and materials used/variances analyses to improve performance.

•Timely recognition of deviations versus budget and proposing corrective actions if necessary

•Prepare & present clear and complete Annual Plans (AOP) including detailed BP tariffs and control the delivery of commitments

•Prepare, ensure right quality and submit investment plans (CER), responsible for fixed asset accounting

•Ensure full compliance to Financial Reporting Policies and the JDE internal control framework

•Participates in projects in- and outside the plant

•Leading, coaching and developing the plant controlling finance team

Qualifications

- 5+ years of finance experience, preferably within manufacturing

- Knowledge of budgeting, cost price calculations, investment calculations, manufacturing accounting, internal controls

- Manufacturing SAP knowledge 

- Experience in FMCG and IFRS is preferred

- Strong analytical mindset

- Strong PC literacy, preferably with advanced Excel skills

- Strong ability to implement strategic goals, linked with business objectives.

- Ability to drive the financial and strategic agenda of the plant

- Leadership & communication skills in the finance function and via the plant leadership team
