Global Procurement Process Owner

Job Description

As Global Procurement Process Owner, you will shape and lead the global procurement process agenda across Source-to-Contract and Procure-to-Pay. You will own the global procurement process framework, policy and governance, ensuring our ways of working are simple, scalable, compliant and fit for a global organisation. Working across Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, IT and regional teams, you will identify opportunities to simplify and improve processes and translate these into measurable business impact. You will lead continuous improvement and process transformation initiatives, using Lean Six Sigma and data-driven insights to improve efficiency, control, user experience and adoption. This is a highly visible role where your ability to influence senior stakeholders and create alignment across a complex, matrixed organisation will be critical to success.

For this role, you will:

  • Own and govern the global procurement process framework across Source-to-Contract and Procure-to-Pay, including process standards, policy, controls, governance and design principles.
  • Lead global process optimisation and continuous improvement, identifying inefficiencies, duplication, bottlenecks and pain points and translating these into a prioritised improvement roadmap.
  • Drive measurable business value by establishing process KPIs and tracking improvements in efficiency, cycle time, compliance, control effectiveness, adoption and user experience.
  • Strengthen procurement controls and compliance by partnering with Finance, Internal Controls, Legal, Supply Chain, IT and regional teams to ensure controls are effective, practical and embedded into process design.
  • Enable successful transformation and adoption by working with Digitalisation, IT, Data & Insights and Training teams to translate process improvements into technology, workflows, reporting, guidance and capability building.
  • Act as a senior cross-functional leader and change agent, bringing Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, IT and regional stakeholders together, facilitating decisions and driving alignment and adoption across the organisation.

For this role as a Global Procurement Process Owner, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in procurement, procurement excellence, process transformation, operational excellence or continuous improvement, ideally within a global and matrixed organisation.
  • Strong end-to-end procurement expertise, with a proven understanding of Source-to-Contract and Procure-to-Pay processes, procurement governance, policy, controls and operating models.
  • A strong track record in process transformation and continuous improvement, including practical application of Lean Six Sigma, process mapping, root-cause analysis and value-stream optimisation. Green Belt or Black Belt certification is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leaders and work effectively across Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Shared Services and regional teams.
  • Strong analytical and performance-management capability, including experience defining KPIs, establishing baselines, tracking benefits and using data to drive process improvements and business decisions.
  • Experience with procurement technology and digital transformation, including ERP, e-procurement, workflow, automation, analytics or process-mining solutions. Experience in supply chain process improvement would be an advantage.
